Learn how to blow your own

Is your organisation full of good news that nobody ever hears about?

Is your press office under funded, understaffed or worse — non existent?

We show you how to get your messages out and manage your news agenda proactively.

This Workshop addresses all aspects of proactivity, such as highlighting newsworthy and positive stories which are occurring within your organisation and writing them up in an eye catching way.

We show how to build on the good reputation of your organisation or products. The emphasis is on branding, being proactive, PR skills, press release writing, holding statements, Q&A briefing documents, journalist resource packs and handling press interviews.

Presentation and Methodology

We cover the whole process of proactivity, from highlighting the idea, writing the press release, making the follow up call to the journalist, to handling the press enquiry and interview.

We will be asking you to write up a real-life Press Release from an actual story from your organisation. We will rehearse you through the process of making a follow-up call to a journalist.

We will also conduct two Press Interviews in the afternoon, with a real life journalist, on real issues, chosen by you. These will be video taped, and played back for analysis, to improve your performance.
